MiLK PLUS

maimai MiLK PLUS, released on June 21, 2018 and also known as 雪, is the PLUS update to MiLK, adding a winter/snow sub-theme over the existing white-and-dairy visual identity. The headline system addition is Present Events (プレゼントイベント): a linear milestone-based reward system where playing songs earns points that automatically unlock collection items at set thresholds — players cannot choose the next reward, similar to the stamp card system from MURASAKi PLUS. Bonuses are awarded for the first play of each day and for songs marked with a "Present Box +1" label. The ranking system also received a major overhaul: the old S/SS/SSS tiers were subdivided with the introduction of S+, SS+, and SSS+, which formally recognizes the theoretical maximum score — an All Perfect+ achieved when all Break notes score a critical 2,600 points. Additionally, Otohime, the mascot from maimai MURASAKi, was added as a new partner character.

The Survival Course mode was substantially reworked: each course now features four difficulty tiers, with songs 1–3 randomly drawn from the version's catalog and the fourth song in the highest tier set as a Re:MASTER chart — clearing that tier grants early unlock of the Re:MASTER chart before its regular release. On the system side, base Cheese earnings per song rose to 7 fragments (9 for new tracks), the character experience curve was rebalanced with new level thresholds, and characters now receive costume changes upon reaching every 100th level. The maimaiNET web portal gained the ability to filter the song list by version, and loading screen tips became more varied. This version also saw significant difficulty inflation, with four new charts pushing into the top tier of the original cabinet's rating system.
