ENERGY SYNERGY MATRIX is an instrumental electronic track by Japanese producer Tanchiky, originally created for The BMS of Fighters ULTIMATE 2017 (BOFU2017) competition, where it placed 14th in the individual score division under the BMS genre label "POWER BASS." Its relentless bassline, crisp synth leads, and driving 160 BPM energy quickly made it a standout entry, catching the attention of rhythm game players across multiple communities. The song features a custom BGA by the artist からめる (karameru), whose colorful, fast-paced visual style matches the track's intensity. In maimai, ENERGY SYNERGY MATRIX was added at the launch of maimai MiLK PLUS on June 21, 2018, carrying both Standard and later DX chart sets. The DX charts arrived on October 4, 2019, as part of the からめるちほー (Karameru Area) event before becoming generally available in December 2019. The DX Expert and Master charts are notable for their unusually high Touch-note counts, 121 and 221 respectively, making them stand out among level 11 and level 13 DX offerings as exercises in rapid, dense touch-panel interaction. The Standard Master chart (designed by サファ太) sits at a 13.9 constant, pushing the upper boundary of the 13+ bracket.
