CYBER Sparks is an instrumental electronic arrangement by Tatsh (Tatsuya Shimizu) of "Love-colored Master Spark" (恋色マスタースパーク), the Stage 4 boss theme from Touhou 8: Imperishable Night. The track originally appeared on TatshMusicCircle's 2009 Touhou arrangement album FAR EAST OF EAST before joining the maimai songlist with the launch of MiLK PLUS on September 4, 2018. Tatsh, known widely in the rhythm game community for his extensive contributions to Konami's Bemani series (beatmania IIDX, DanceDanceRevolution, pop'n music) as well as his doujin circle TatshMusicCircle, brings a driving, synth-heavy style to this arrangement. The source material, "Love-colored Master Spark", is the signature boss theme of Marisa Kirisame, whose "Master Spark" spell card ranks among the most recognizable attacks in the Touhou series. CYBER Sparks captures that explosive energy with crisp synth leads, rapid-fire arpeggios, and a relentless 192 BPM tempo. In maimai, CYBER Sparks spans five STANDARD difficulties. The MASTER chart, designed by 緑風 犬三郎 (Happy), packs 150 Slide notes into 626 total, an unusually high Slide density for a Level 12 chart that gives the playthrough a flowing, almost airborne feel. The Re:MASTER chart, designed by 玉子豆腐 (Tamagodoufu), pushes to 945 notes at Level 13+ with dense Tap clusters (827 Taps) and 28 Break notes, offering a starkly different challenge focused on stamina and precision. The song's difficulty ratings have been recalibrated across multiple maimai versions, with the MASTER chart settling at Level 12 from UNiVERSE PLUS onward.
