maimai FiNALE, released on December 13, 2018 and subtitled 輝, is the 13th and final version of the original cabinet series, serving as the grand finale before the series transitioned to second-generation DX cabinets. The visual theme emphasises radiance and closure, with a rich gold-and-white colour palette. Two new navigator partners, Shama and Milk, were introduced. On the system side, the Dojo grade-certification mode was rebranded as the Finale Course, which revamped the ranking format into regular grades, hidden "Secret" grades, and a Kaiden tier, with rating bonuses awarded upon clearing each stage. The Utage mode was also unlocked by default rather than requiring prior achievement thresholds.

Several new quality-of-life features debuted: Ras's Watching Diary, a daily login system that grants buffs including Rating Guard (preventing rating loss on weaker scores) and direct access to locked Master charts; a Track Skip option that auto-advances when a target rank becomes unattainable; and adjustable judgment timing with a Fast/Late indicator. The most prominent new gameplay mechanic was PANDORA BOXXX, a multi-stage unlock system that replaced Challenge Tracks, where players complete hidden conditions across six phases to unlock boss charts through an emblem-based progression system. New difficulty ceilings were introduced at Expert level 12+, Master level 13+, and Re:Master level 14.
