ウサテイ is a Touhou Project doujin remix by COOL&CREATE members Amane (あまね) and beatMARIO (ビートまりお), originally released on the IOSYS album 東方萃翠酒酔 (Tōhō Suisui Shusui) in 2007. The track blends two ZUN-composed themes, Tewi Inaba's motif お宇佐さまの素い幡 from 東方花映塚 (Phantasmagoria of Flower View) and the stage 5 piece シンデレラケージ ～ Kagome-Kagome from 東方永夜抄 (Imperishable Night), into a single boisterous vocal number at 190 BPM. The song's lyrics are built around a comedic skit in which two characters banter about playing a match of Kaeizuka, with one player stubbornly choosing Tewi Inaba as their character while the other protests. This conversational opening gives way to a chant-heavy chorus cycling through rabbit archetypes: いたずらうさぎ (mischievous rabbit), わるのりうさぎ (naughty rabbit), はらぐろうさぎ (cunning / black-bellied rabbit), and しあわせうさぎ (happy rabbit). The song title itself is a portmanteau of うさぎ (usagi, rabbit) and てゐ (Tei, from Tewi), underscoring the rabbit motif throughout. ウサテイ arrived in maimai on the GreeN version in September 2013 and remained in the lineup until its removal on July 11, 2019. Over the game's version updates, its difficulty ratings were revised multiple times; by the BUDDiES era the Master chart had settled at level 14, designed by はっぴー, while the Expert chart (level 10+) was created by 某S氏. A UTAGE (宴) chart titled [傾] was added during MURASAKi, whose designer left the tongue-in-cheek remark "譜面傾けんなってーーー!!" ("I told you not to tilt the chart!!"). The song also crossed over into CHUNITHM and オンゲキ, and its jacket was replaced in maimai GreeN PLUS with a new illustration distinct from the original album art.
