End of Twilight is a maimai original song that debuted in the GreeN PLUS update on April 10, 2014. It was composed by REDALiCE, widely known for his work with the HARDCORE TANO*C collective and for helming the doujin music circle ALiCE'S EMOTiON, and features vocals and lyrics by Ayumi Nomiya, a vocalist active in the Nico Nico Douga and doujin scenes. Nomiya would later return for another maimai track, Scarlet Wings. The track has a distinctive origin: it was simultaneously released in maimai and at SEGA's Tokyo Joypolis attraction HALFPIPE TOKYO, a digital reality ride experience. Musically, End of Twilight fuses REDALiCE's signature hardcore, trance, and techno sounds with a pop melody carrying a subtle eurobeat feel. An acoustic guitar line woven into the arrangement adds textural contrast, complementing bittersweet lyrics about chasing light through the fading colors of dusk. The accompanying video, created by UKYO Inaba, mirrors this sunset-to-night transition visually.
