We Gonna Party is a high-energy RAVE track by Cranky, head of the Feline Groove label, originally produced for SEGA's HALFPIPE TOKYO digital-real attraction at Tokyo Joypolis. When it launched in maimai PLUS on December 13, 2012, it marked Cranky's first-ever commission for a Japanese arcade rhythm game, a milestone for an artist already known internationally through the BMS (Be-Music Source) scene and as an arranger for TM NETWORK. The song features rapid-fire vocals and rap delivery by Pico, whose lyrics are entirely a constructed language invented during recording, giving the track an esoteric, incantatory quality that Cranky himself later described as resembling "Eroim Esseim" chants. We Gonna Party holds several distinctions within the maimai series: it was the shortest regular song in the entire library until Takemoto Piano CM Song arrived years later, and it is the only HALFPIPE TOKYO track from the original maimai lineup to receive an extended version (included on Cranky's album Rave-SLave 2017). The chart is known for its "toothless" (歯抜け) arrangement, a note layout that emphasizes the song's rap and vocal sampling patterns, making it surprisingly difficult to reach S rank even with a Full Combo. A Re:MASTER chart was added on October 23, 2020, celebrating the release of the maimai ALL PERFECT COLLECTION soundtrack. We Gonna Party also spawned a direct sequel, We Gonna Journey, and a remix, We Gonna Party -Feline Groove Mix-, both appearing in CHUNITHM.
