Party 4U "holy nite mix" is a remastered arrangement of Cranky's original BMS track Party 4U, which first appeared as a Be-Music Source file in 1999. Cranky (Hiroshi Watanabe), a longstanding figure in the BMS and doujin music scene, reimagined his own composition into this "holy nite" edition in 2010 under the Rave genre label. The track delivers driving, late-90s-inspired rave energy with punchy beats and bright synth hooks, a sound that has carried it well beyond the BMS scene into multiple commercial rhythm games. The song arrived in maimai as a launch title for maimai PiNK on December 9, 2015, classified under GAME & VARIETY. Its Master chart, designed by Jack, stands at level 13+ and demands strong stamina through dense Tap-heavy patterning. The Expert chart by ぴちネコ (Pichineko) takes a notably different approach with zero Hold notes, relying entirely on rapid Tap and Slide combinations. The jacket movie for the maimai version was created by the artist credited as "Tail." Outside of maimai, Party 4U "holy nite mix" has appeared in ONGEKI bright (debuting during a Christmas-themed event), Groove Coaster 3 LINK FEVER, Neon FM, and Pump It Up Infinity. The original Party 4U gained a second life in internet culture through the Flash animation "num1000," a connection that ONGEKI explicitly acknowledges by giving its Master chart exactly 1000 notes. Cranky later co-wrote R4U with DanceDanceRevolution composer NAOKI, a track whose melodic DNA traces back to Party 4U.
