オモイヨシノ (also known by its formal title 恋詠桜 / Koiyomisakura, and romanized as Omoiyoshino in Asian English releases) is a cherry blossom–themed song by the circle loos featuring vocalist Rian Hiiragi (柊莉杏), with composition, arrangement, and lyrics by ripple. It was added to maimai PiNK on March 3, 2016, and later crossed over into sibling SEGA rhythm games CHUNITHM (beginning with CHUNITHM STAR PLUS in October 2018) and オンゲキ (available at launch). The track marked loos's return to maimai after their earlier contribution Starlight Disco. The title オモイヨシノ is a layered wordplay combining 想い (omoi, "feelings" or "thoughts") and 吉野 (Yoshino, a location famous for its cherry blossoms), evoking a springtime romance and seasonal transience. Its formal title, 恋詠桜 (Koiyomisakura), translates to "love-chanting cherry blossoms," reinforcing the sakura-centric lyrics and melancholy-tinged atmosphere captured in recurring motifs like ふわり (floating), ゆらり (swaying), and ひらり (fluttering). The music video, produced by Aqui and えれっと, layers cherry blossom petal cut-scenes throughout the visual narrative. Beyond the rhythm game, a doujin story work titled カタリヨシノ (Katariyoshino) based on the song's narrative was also distributed, expanding the world of the track into a standalone tale.
