The song was added to maimai PiNK PLUS on October 14, 2016 as the Qualifying Round track for the third Tenkaichi otogesai (天下一音ゲ祭), a cross-rhythm-game tournament event that pitted players from different arcade rhythm games against each other. A longer version of Nitrous Fury appears on Senoue's personal compilation album THE WORKS II, which collects his arrangements and original compositions from across his career. Within maimai, Nitrous Fury is best remembered for its MASTER chart (level 14, designed by 譜面-100号), which features an extreme Tap-note density of 739 taps out of 752 total notes, leaving only 6 Holds and 2 Slides. This makes it a pure stamina and accuracy test with almost no patterned respite, a chart philosophy that stands out even among the game's higher-difficulty offerings.
