JUMPIN' JUMPIN' is a high-energy maimai original track produced by the doujin music circle SOUND HOLIC, with vocals, lyrics, and composition all handled by Nana Takahashi, a relatively rare solo effort from a vocalist best known as part of the circle's rotating cast. The arrangement was provided by MasKaleido, and a music video was created by UKYO Inaba. The song was not originally written for a rhythm game at all: it was commissioned for HALFPIPE TOKYO, a snowboarding-themed digital reality attraction at SEGA's Tokyo Joypolis indoor theme park. Takahashi wrote the lyrics and melody to match the imagery of carving down a snowy mountain under diamond-dust skies, resulting in an upbeat eurobeat-influenced pop track that pairs a driving, danceable beat with a bittersweet, dream-chasing message. JUMPIN' JUMPIN' joined the maimai song list on September 19, 2013 as part of the GreeN version. It initially required 23,000 maimile to unlock, though it was made available by default when maimai ORANGE launched the following year. Both the Expert (level 11+) and Master (level 13) charts were designed by mai-Star. Over the course of the game's version history, the song was reclassified through several in-game genre categories, starting as a JOYPOLIS track, moving through ORIGINAL & JOYPOLIS, then ORIGINAL, and ultimately settling into the maimai category from でらっくす PLUS onward. The jacket art was also updated in maimai でらっくす UNiVERSE PLUS to add the song title to the previously text-free design.
