Boys O'Clock is an instrumental original track produced by technoplanet, the electronic music alias of Japanese composer Shun Hasegawa, whose unit has been active since 2011. The song drives forward at 262 BPM with crisp synth arpeggios, steady kick patterns, and layered electronic textures, all characteristic of technoplanet's energetic production style. With no lyrics to anchor it, the composition relies entirely on its melodic and rhythmic elements to sustain momentum across its 2:06 runtime. The track was created for the maimai series and first appeared in maimai でらっくす Splash in September 2020 as a lockable goal within the Shuwashuwa Area (しゅわしゅわちほー), requiring 126 km of accumulated distance to unlock. It remained gated behind this challenge until the UNiVERSE update in September 2021, after which it became available by default across all regions.
