UniTas is a collaborative instrumental track by Masahiro "Godspeed" Aoki and Kai (Takahiro Kai), two established figures in the Japanese rhythm-game and guitar-performance scene. The song entered the maimai DX lineup on January 23, 2020, as part of the maimai でらっくす PLUS update, debuting within the Beginning Area 2 unlock system. The track's title derives from the Latin word for "unity", fitting for a composition that pits Aoki's hard-rock guitar work against Kai's complementary arrangement style. Both composers are seasoned contributors to maimai's original song library. Aoki, best known as the leader of G5 Project and G.O.D., originally performed primarily under the Godspeed alias before shifting to his current full name to avoid confusion with identically titled BEMANI tracks. Kai (Takahiro Kai) has likewise left his mark on the series with multiple high-energy compositions. Running at a crisp 205 BPM with no vocal track, UniTas is a pure instrumental showcase that builds tension through rapid guitar riffs and driving percussion. The song also served as one of the qualifying round selections for the KING of Performai 2020 tournament, during which it was temporarily available to all players regardless of unlock progress from October 1–28, 2020. It became freely accessible by default starting with maimai でらっくす Splash PLUS in March 2021.
