つけまつける (Tsukematsukeru) is the debut single of Japanese pop icon きゃりーぱみゅぱみゅ (Kyary Pamyu Pamyu), produced by Yasutaka Nakata, the renowned electronic musician behind Perfume and Capsule. Built on Nakata's signature blend of bubbly synth-pop and driving four-on-the-floor beats, the song playfully riffs on false eyelashes (つけまつける literally means "putting on false eyelashes") as a metaphor for self-confidence and seeing the world with a brighter outlook. The track served as Kyary's breakout introduction, establishing the colorful, kawaii aesthetic that would define her career. In maimai, つけまつける was added at the launch of maimai PLUS (December 2012) under the POPS genre (originally labeled J-POP, later reclassified to POPS starting with maimai GreeN). The song remained playable until it was removed on December 9, 2015. Beyond maimai, the track also appeared in Konami's rhythm game lineup, jubeat, pop'n music, and REFLEC BEAT, reflecting its cross-company appeal as a J-pop staple of the early 2010s. The standard chart set features four difficulties. The Expert chart (level 8) was designed by 譜面-100号 with a relatively sparse 276 notes and only a single Slide note, an unusual restraint. The Master chart (level 9), designed by ニャイン, is significantly denser at 338 notes with 31 Slide notes, creating a noticeably more movement-oriented upper-difficulty experience compared to its Expert counterpart.
