Luminize is the tenth single by the J-pop unit fripSide, released in 2015 and used as the opening theme for the television Tokyo anime series Future Card Buddyfight 100 (フューチャーカード バディファイト ハンドレッド). The track was composed, arranged, and written by fripSide producer Satoshi Yaginuma, with vocalist Yoshino Nanjo (who had been fripSide's signature vocalist since 2009) performing the lead. Luminize was one of the first anime tie-in songs to appear in maimai PiNK, arriving on January 7, 2016, and was eventually removed from the arcade rotation on June 21, 2018, making it a legacy track only accessible in older cabinet software. Both the Expert and Master charts were designed by mai-Star, the in-house maimai team. An English-language version of the song was produced for the English dub broadcast of the anime. The in-game background video draws directly from the anime's opening sequence, and the official short-form music video, though itself too brief to show them, featured guest appearances by magician Trumpman and the comedy duo Nihon Elektitel Renso (日本エレキテル連合).
