リッジでリッジでGO!GO!GO! -GMT mashup- is a mashup track created for the Game Music Triangle (GMT) collaboration, a cross-company project that brought together TAITO's GROOVE COASTER, SEGA's maimai, and Bandai Namco's Taiko no Tatsujin. As the second of three mashups produced for the initiative, it fuses the iconic synth-heavy arcade-racing energy of Ridge Racer with the unmistakable train-themed vocal hooks of 電車で電車でGO！GO！GO！ from TAITO's Densha de GO! series. Arranged by Hiro (Hiroshi Kawaguchi), a veteran SEGA sound creator known for his work on Fantasy Zone and the first GMT mashup ファンタジーゾーン OPA-OPA!, the track opens with Ridge Racer's hard synth bass before Densha de GO!'s boisterous vocals ride over the top. As the arrangement progresses, the two source songs gradually decompose and recombine into a single driving groove. In his own commentary, Hiro admitted the mashup was difficult to balance, Densha de GO! had such overwhelming sonic presence that even when he built a Ridge Racer-style instrumental foundation, the result kept getting pulled into Densha de GO!'s orbit. The original compositions draw from several sound creators: Ridge Racer's theme was contributed by Dr. Haggy and PFC Nakayama (ZUNTATA/TAITO) and BNGI (Shinji Hosoe / Sampling Masters MEGA), while Densha de GO!'s material was written by ZUNTATA-J.A.M. and karu., with ZUNTATA-J.A.M. also handling lyrics and vocals. On the maimai side, the song is notable for its MASTER chart, which at launch contained 159 Break notes, the highest Break count of any maimai chart at the time. This record was later surpassed by The wheel to the right. The chart has also undergone multiple level revisions across maimai versions, reflecting the evolving difficulty curve of the game as the MASTER chart rose from an original level 11 to its current 13+.
