BULK UP (GAME EXCLUSIVE EDIT) is a collaborative hard dance track by USAO and Yuta Imai, two artists closely associated with the TOKYO HARD DANCE label. Originally released on the 2022 album BULK UP, the song was later adapted into a "GAME EXCLUSIVE EDIT" specifically for maimai でらっくす FESTiVAL PLUS, arriving on April 28, 2023. Clocking in at a relentless 200 BPM and running 2 minutes 25 seconds, the track delivers driving kick drums, sharp synth stabs, and the pumped-up energy its title suggests, pure gym-rat hard dance with no vocal melody, just sampled shouts including a prominent "サイコー!" (awesome!) call in the latter half. The song entered maimai as a reward in Friend Matching Season 10, requiring 300 Season Points to unlock during its initial event window. It was the first entirely new song (rather than an alternate chart set for an existing song) to be offered as a Friend Matching season prize since Supersymmetry back in Season 1. From October 6, 2023 (Season 13), it became available by default to all players. Regional unlock paths varied: the Asian version required filling a Stamp Card from August 24, 2023, while the Chinese version unlocked in 舞萌DX 2024 from July 24, 2024. Its MASTER chart (level 14, constant 14.2, designed by サファ太) is notable for a late-game density spike triggered by the "サイコー" sample, where kick-synced note clusters intensify into a passage reminiscent of the 8th-note TAP + 4th-note each-slide pattern from Fragrance's Re:Master chart, here layered with break slides that can easily fracture a player's combo if slides are left behind.
