Originally created for lowiro's Arcaea as the penultimate boss song of the Main Story pack Lasting Eden, it won the Grand Prize in the Arcaea Song Contest, 3rd Movement "Imagining After," a competition that invited composers to submit original works for the game. The track arrived in maimai でらっくす PRiSM on January 10, 2025, as the centerpiece of the Arcaea Area 3 collaboration event, where players could unlock it by accumulating 650 km of in-game distance. Clocking in at a relentless 216 BPM, Abstruse Dilemma pairs thunderous percussion with layered melodic lines that shift between moments of triumph and sorrow, reflecting the song's tagline: "Memories of joy and memories of sorrow intermingle, and the curtain now rises on tragedy."
