Xaleid◆scopiX (pronounced "kaleidoscopics") is a maimai original song composed by xi, unveiled as the climactic final boss track of the KALEIDXSCOPE event, the most elaborate puzzle-hunt campaign in maimai history. Released on July 13, 2025 for maimai DX PRiSM PLUS, the song serves as both the narrative and musical culmination of the 7sRef story arc that began with earlier event tracks such as World's end BLACKBOX. As maimai's first "Long Song," Xaleid◆scopiX runs 4 minutes and 24 seconds, the longest single track in the game as of the CiRCLE version, and consumes two standard track slots when selected in regular play. Although its listed BPM is 180, the composition undergoes dramatic tempo shifts across its duration, accelerating through a staircase from 120 up to 240 BPM and back, with further variations leading into the chorus and a sustained 180 BPM throughout the latter half. This structural ambition is matched by the song's in-game presentation: the music video, produced by yoshimo and sam with illustrations by Wada Masako, dynamically shifts its aspect ratio during the ending sequence to fill the entire cabinet screen, and during the second half, brief clips from the videos of every other KALEIDXSCOPE song flash past in quick succession.
