VOLTAGE is a song performed by Rain Drops, a musical unit formed by six VTubers affiliated with the Nijisanji talent agency (にじさんじ). The track originated on the group's debut major-label mini-album シナスタジア (Synesthesia), released in 2020, before joining the maimai DX songlist during the UNiVERSE edition. Composed by WEST GROUND with additional arrangement by ZAI-ON and lyrics by Shoko Fujibayashi, VOLTAGE is a driving pop piece built around a relentless 194 BPM pulse, featuring layered vocal harmonies from all six members: Ryushen (緑仙), Akina Saegusa (三枝明那), Meiji Warabeda (童目明治), Masaru Suzuki (鈴木勝), Elu (える), and Joe Rikiichi (ジョー・力一). The music video was produced by director 山下RIRI. In maimai, VOLTAGE was added as a POPS & ANIME category track during the UNiVERSE version and saw staggered regional availability. The EXPERT chart was designed by 翠楼屋 (Suirouya), while the MASTER chart was handled by はっぴー (Happy), the latter distinguished by a high slide-note count of 161 that shapes its demanding 13.2 difficulty constant. The song was removed from Chinese and Asian region cabinets in September 2024, making it a limited-window addition to the series.
