トノサマビーム (Tonosama Beam) is a maimai original song by Japanese musician and singer-songwriter ぼっちぼろまる (BotchiBoromaru), commissioned for maimai でらっくす FESTiVAL PLUS. While BotchiBoromaru had already contributed the track おとせサンダー to the same version lineup, トノサマビーム represents their first fully original commission, a song written and produced specifically for the maimai series rather than a pre-existing work brought into the game. The title translates roughly to "Lord Beam" or "Feudal Lord Beam," and the song leans into this period-drama aesthetic with a twist. The music video, produced by マスティ (Mustie) with illustrations by らにとに～, shows BotchiBoromaru dressed as a tonosama (feudal lord) alongside 乙姫 in festival garb, both character designs making their public debut here. Lyrically, the track draws a contrast between the grandiosity of a daimyo's stage and the quiet anxieties of modern digital life: doom-scrolling, notification emptiness, and the pressure to perform for an unseen audience. The chorus bursts into a declaration of resilience, "700 tumbles, 1000 times rise up", before the fantasy of commanding millions with a beam gun takes over. On the gameplay side, the MASTER chart (level 12+, constant 12.8) designed by はっぴー distinguishes itself with an unusually high concentration of Touch notes (141) and Slide notes (115) within its 869-note total, creating a dense, pattern-rich play that stands apart from the more conventional EXPERT chart (level 10) designed by アマリリス. In its original FESTiVAL PLUS release, the song was gated behind a distance-grind in ハピフェスちほー2 (Happy Fes Area 2), requiring 30 km of cumulative travel to unlock. From BUDDiES PLUS onward, it became available by default across all regions. The song also crossed over into SEGA's sister title ONGEKI, joining that game's roster with the Re:Fresh update in November 2025.
