Last Brave ～ Go to zero is the theme song of SEGA's mech-action arcade game BORDER BREAK, performed by the girls' unit MECHANiCAL PANDA. The duo, vocalist, lyricist, and co-composer Ren alongside bassist and co-composer isa, originally released the track on a self-titled album in 2009 before it found a second life in the rhythm-game world. It joined the maimai song library at the launch of maimai MURASAKi on December 15, 2016, making it one of that version's debut offerings. The song's in-game genre classification shifted across maimai iterations: it was initially tagged SEGA in MURASAKi through FiNALE, then reclassified as ORIGINAL during the early でらっくす era, and finally settled into GAME & VARIETY (ゲーム＆バラエティ) from でらっくす PLUS onward. Its chart levels were revised upward across successive version updates, the Master chart climbed from level 12 at launch to 13+, while the steady 132 BPM and dense Tap-note distributions give both the Expert and Master charts a driving, percussive momentum. The Expert chart was designed by ロシェ@ペンギン (Rocher@penguin) and the Master chart by Jack, two longtime maimai notes designers.
