ハウリング (Howling) is a Touhou Project arrange track by the doujin circle Liz Triangle, featured in maimai DX Splash PLUS. The song is a remix of ZUN's "もう歌しか聞こえない" (I Can Only Hear the Song Now), the stage 2 boss theme from 東方永夜抄 ~ Imperishable Night, rendered here as a "Flower Mix." Arranged by kaztora with vocals by lily-an and lyrics by azuki, the track paints a stark winter scene, distorted skies, falling snow, a freezing wind, and a singer who can only keep singing. Guitarist Eba and bassist Pira round out the arrangement with a full band backdrop beneath lily-an's airy, melancholic delivery. The song first appeared on Liz Triangle's album 冬蛍 (Winter Firefly) and was later included on the 2016 album YELLOW. It entered maimai on June 11, 2021 as part of the Splash PLUS update (Japanese release), with Asian and Chinese rollouts following in October 2021 and September 2022 respectively. It also appears in SEGA's CHUNITHM series, debuting in CHUNITHM NEW PLUS in May 2022. The Master chart, designed by Jack, carries a notable level history: originally set at 12+ through the UNiVERSE PLUS version, it was re-evaluated to 13 starting from FESTiVAL, reflecting the chart's dense slide and touch note patterns. The Expert chart was designed by はっぴー (Happy) at level 9+ with a constant of 9.6.
