GIGANTØMAKHIA is an original collaborative composition produced for the maimai rhythm game series, jointly created by BlackYooh (the combined alias of BlackY and Yooh) versus siromaru. First unveiled as the final-round track for KING of Performai The 3rd (KoP) maimai division on March 3, 2022, the piece carries the in-video genre label SYMPHONIC CROSSBREED, a fitting descriptor for its fusion of orchestral textures and high-energy electronic production at a driving 190 BPM. The song reunites BlackYooh vs. siromaru for the first time in over six years, following their earlier collaboration "XHAOS JUDGE" in KONAMI's SOUND VOLTEX III GRAVITY WARS. While siromaru had previously appeared in maimai under the INNOCENT NOIZE alias (for "Jumble Rumble"), GIGANTØMAKHIA marks his first maimai contribution credited under his own name. The production credits list BlackY, Yooh, and siromaru on music, with Photon-S handling the video. The title's slashed zero (Ø), a stylized choice echoing the song's Greek-mythology-inspired name (Gigantomachy, the battle of the Giants versus the Olympian gods), initially caused display issues in the game. The character was absent from the in-game font, so the song appeared as GIGANTOMAKHIA until the UNiVERSE PLUS update corrected it. On the charting side, the MASTER chart (level 14+, constant 14.7) is one of the most physically demanding in its tier, packing 1,149 notes including an unusually high 100 Break notes. The EXPERT chart, designed by 隅田川星人 (Sumidagawa Seijin), embeds slide patterns spelling K, O, P, and 3 as a nod to KING of Performai The 3rd.
