Beginning together! is a maimai original track produced by Kazuya Takase (高瀬一矢), the founder of I've Sound, one of the most influential doujin music circles in the visual novel and eroge music scene, and performed by longtime I've Sound collaborator R.I.N.A, who also wrote the lyrics. The song made its debut in maimai でらっくす BUDDiES PLUS on June 21, 2024, as the 140 km distance milestone reward within Dragon Area 3 (ドラゴンちほー3), the third installment of the game's dragon-themed progression areas. The song's lyrics embrace the spirit of an imperfect, scrappy adventure shared with a partner: "Let's make it incomplete and power / 完全無欠のじゃつまらない" (A flawless, perfect thing is boring). This theme is echoed in the area's flavor text, which recounts the first meeting between the girl Embra (エムブラ), her flying dragon Cuelebre (クエレブレ), and a boy named Ask (アスク) who would become their traveling companion, the eponymous "beginning together." The in-game music video was produced by the artist unit おれお (Oreo) together with 結、いたちねこ (Yui, Itachineko), adding a whimsical animated layer to the story. On the charting side, the Master difficulty (level 13+, constant 13.7) was designed by ぴちネコ (Pichineko), while the Expert chart (level 10+, constant 10.6) was crafted by 鳩ホルダー (Hato holder), both familiar names in the maimai notes design community. In later versions, beginning with maimai でらっくす PRiSM PLUS, the song became available by default across all regions, though the Chinese version received its unlockable window later via 舞萌DX 2025.
