The song was originally created for the live event "MOtOLOiD外伝~ペンタブ融合道 試の巻~" held at the small venue 池尻大橋2.5D (Ikejiri-Ōhashi 2.5D) on March 4, 2012, and was later included on the YUYOYU EP released that same year. With no lyrics and a steady 180 BPM drive, "AiAe" blends yuyoyuppe's characteristic metal-tinged electronic sound into a compact 2:31 instrumental. The song made its rhythm-game debut in SEGA's CHUNITHM X-VERSE-X before arriving in maimai でらっくす with the CiRCLE PLUS update on March 19, 2026.
