好きな惣菜発表ドラゴン (Suki na Sōzai Happyō Doragon, "Favorite Side Dish Announcement Dragon") is a UTAU original song by the producer ンバヂ (nbaji), featuring the synthesized voice of Kasane Teto (重音テト). It was originally submitted to the ボカコレ2023夏 (Vocacolle Summer 2023) event on Nico Nico Douga, where its deadpan absurdist premise, a dragon endlessly listing its favorite Japanese side dishes, quickly made it a viral favorite. Every verse opens with the same refrain: "好きな惣菜発表ドラゴンが / 好きな惣菜を発表します" ("The favorite side dish announcement dragon / announces its favorite side dishes"), followed by a cascade of dishes from karaage and tonkatsu to kinpira gobo and "that thing with sweet vinegar sauce." The track's self-deprecating humor and singable structure belies its deft production, with nbaji handling composition, arrangement, lyrics, and the music video single-handedly. After debuting in SEGA's CHUNITHM VERSE, the song arrived in maimai でらっくす PRiSM PLUS on May 9, 2025, across Japanese, international, and USA regions simultaneously. Its standard DX charts, designed by はっぴー (Happy) for Expert and Master, are straightforward for their levels. What catapulted the song into maimai lore, however, is its unprecedented UTAGE (宴) chart suite. On the same day as its standard release, the song received six custom UTAGE charts, the most playable UTAGE charts for any single song in the game's history at the time, surpassing the previous record of five held by Garakuta Doll Play. Each chart was contributed by a different guest designer, Luxizhel, サファ太, 鳩ホルダー, メロンポップ, きょむりん, and アマリリス, who constructed their entries as mash-ups of their own favorite chart passages from across the maimai catalog. The six charts' single-kanji labels, 好, 譜, 面, 発, 表, 龍, can be read sequentially as 好譜面発表龍 ("favorite chart announcement dragon"), a self-referential nod that mirrors the song title's structure and extends the joke into the game itself.
