The song was composed by Kohei Tanaka, widely known for his work on the Sakura Wars series as well as One Piece and Gunbuster, with lyrics by series creator Oji Hiroi and arrangement by Takayuki Negishi. Performed by the five heroines of the Paris Hanagumi (Paris Combat Revue), Erica Fontaine (Noriko Hidaka), Glycine Bleumer (Saeko Shimazu), Coquelicot (Etsuko Kozakura), Lobelia Carlini (Kikuko Inoue), and Hanabi Kitaoji (Yoshino Takamori), the song originally appeared on the 2001 vocal collection album サクラ大戦3 ヴォーカルコレクシオン 巴里歌謡全集. The maimai cut runs 1:44, shorter than the full version (2:11) later used in CHUNITHM. Over the game's many version updates, the song shifted through several genre classifications, from ANIME/GAME and GAME to SEGA, then ORIGINAL, and finally settling under GAME & VARIETY, reflecting maimai's evolving categorization system. More than a decade after its original appearance, the song received a full set of DX charts in maimai でらっくす BUDDiES PLUS (April 2024), initially unlockable through Friend Matching Season 16 before becoming generally available later that year.
