フタタビ (Futatabi) is an original song produced for the maimai DX BUDDiES arcade rhythm game by SEGA's in-house KAZE Lab. The track was composed, arranged, and written by mo2, with vocals by MILO and guitar by Da1suke. Its title plays on the Japanese word 再び (futatabi, meaning "again" or "once more"), a notion reinforced by the lyrics' opening line, "繰り返す Take a chance!", a call to seize opportunity in the face of repetition and regret. The song serves as a narrative centerpiece within the Sky Street (スカイストリート) chihou storyline, an ongoing original saga in maimai that follows a cast of characters, Sou, Nanoha, Momo, Akatsuki, and the elusive Kohaku (alias Noah), as they reckon with time travel, rewritten pasts, and the cost of second chances. The in-game flavor text accompanying フタタビ depicts a tense reunion: Akatsuki confronts Kohaku about the butterfly-mark mystery and her role in sending the group back in time, while Nanoha calmly recounts her own heavy past. The lyrics grapple with the question of whether a do-over can be genuine, culminating in the line "改竄じゃなく 今を生き直してんだ", not falsification, but living life anew.
